  • Estabrook School Celebrates Its 50th Anniversary!
The Joseph Estabrook school is marking its 50th Anniversary with several events on March 2 and 3. These are open to all, and the Estabrook PTA would especially like to welcome Estabrook alumni and former staff.
    • A fun night out for grownups! - Saturday, March 3.  Estabrook Retro•Spective Party, 7 p.m., Tickets: $50
      Heritage Hall, Lexington Knights of Columbus, 177 Bedford Street, Lexington.  Celebrate Estabrook’s 50th with food, dancing, cocktails, and more!
    • Friday, March 2: Alumni Welcome Dinner, 6 p.m., Self-Pay.  Details to be sent to participants.  An opportunity for Estabrook alumni to gather and catch up on old times at a local restaurant.
    • Saturday, March 3: Group Photos of the Decades, 2 p.m., Free, Estabrook Patio.  Photos of students, past and present, to be taken on the Estabrook patio.
    • Saturday, March 3: Time Capsule tea, 3 p.m., Free, Estabrook Lobby.  Bring an artifact for the Estabrook Time Capsule and hear a discourse on the history of the Estabrook School.

  • First Shot! 1775 Summer Program (June 25-29, 2012) Grades 3-6 $275

    Travel back in time to 1775 Lexington and experience what life was like!  The Lexington Historical Society presents a new week-long summer program:

    CREATE 18th century crafts
    RE-ENACT battles and daily life
    PLAY 18th century games both indoors and out
    PRETEND you are a Colonist or a British soldier
    IMAGINE what it was like to be a kid during the American Revolution
    ORGANIZE and stage a re-enactment for your friends and family at the end of the week!
