Are you a kid who loves food? Join us for 3 weeks of fun in the kitchen learning about local
ingredients, meet a local farmer, and create some delicious snacks!
Week 1: Green Eggs and Ham
Yes, Dr. Seuss, there are green eggs, and brown eggs, and blue eggs. We will cook with
local colorful eggs and talk about the different chickens that they come from. We also
work with a chicken farmer who can bring in chickens for the students to meet.
Week 2: Noodles, Noodles
Learn how fun it is to make pasta dough from scratch using local eggs and semolina flour. Roll
and then cut your own noodles and make a delicious nut-free basil pesto to eat with the pasta
Week 3: Too Many Pumpkins?
Actually you can never have too many pumpkins! We will start with a local sugar
pumpkin, then roast it and its seeds. We use the pumpkin to mix up our secret waffle
recipe and eat it with fruit compote and hand whipped cream.
