Mad Science with Mad Science of Greater Boston

In this program, students will have a blast working with the Mad Science Boston team exploring science and how it affects the world around them.  There will be exciting hands-on activities, spectacular demonstrations, inquiry-based discussions, and amazing projects to make and take home.  We’ll join Bernoulli and Newton as we take an exciting look at the science behind aerodynamics and the properties of air .  We’ll eliminate the mystery in “chemistry”.  We’ll take a tour on the electron freeway in the world of circuit electricity and experience some awesome forces  ... gravity ... inertia ... centripetal force. We’ll also learn about water waves and the environment; explore the scientific secrets behind some famous magic tricks; investigate the fundamental principles of flight; and discover the strengths of triangles, cylinders and arches and how these shapes make structures for sturdy homes and skyscrapers.    There will be two sections offer this Winter  – one specifically geared for younger children (Grades K-2) and one targeted at older children (Grades 3-5)
